Product Description
Digsby helps people save time by managing their IM, email, and social network accounts from one easy-to-use desktop application. Digsby organizes IM accounts into one combined buddy list, while providing a newsfeed for social networks so users can easily track the online conversations most relevant to them. Digsby provides an efficient way for users to stay connected to friends and for professionals to manage brands without the need for browsers or multiple programs.
Market Opportunity
The worldwide IM market has 500 million users, growing to 700 million by 2011. Users average 2.3 IM accounts, as providers are not interoperable (Radicati). Facebook has over 250 million users and Twitter just passed 50 million monthly visitors. Over 50% of social network users manage multiple accounts (comScore).
DEMO Says
Chances are good that virtually everyone in attendance at DEMOfall has a Twitter account. And chances are almost as good that you're not completely happy with the client you're using. Whether it takes up too much real estate, is too complex or doesn't allow you to track every tweet you want, existing Twitter clients generally fall short. We're excited to introduce Digsby's Twitter client, an interface that transitions Twitter from a timeline to a conversation. Digsby has been a contender in the social profile aggregation space for a couple of years, but hasn't yet gained the traction of Seesmic or Tweetdeck. Until now that is. Take it for a spin and see if it solves your Twitter angst.
